Andy Laforest

My name is Andy Laforest and I am a Mortgage Associate with Dominion Lending Centres 1st Financial Link. I am Alberta born and raised. My former background is as an engineering technologist and because of this I tend to be technical and a little bit of a perfectionist. Why am I passionate about helping you with your mortgage? There are a few main reasons:

1. I love real estate and everything that goes with it. Throughout my life, I have been fascinated with real estate – I am a real estate sponge. I do a lot of reading on real estate and ensure I am knowledgeable about current market trends. As a teenager, I would look through the real estate weekly religiously and, when I could get my hands on it, I would look through the old MLS® catalogue (I couldn’t imagine having to buying a home like this anymore). Fast forward to today and I’m a home owner and a real estate investor. Real estate is EXCITING!!

2. Show me the numbers! I enjoy working with numbers and math has always been my best subject.

3. I like to find solutions, not problems!- I enjoy working through problems and keeping my mind busy. You can be confident that I will not give up and I will exhaust all avenues to ensure you are getting the best.

4. I enjoy a good challenge – I have always liked working under a healthy amount of stress and find it motivating. I like a good challenge and I enjoy meeting my goals.

5.  I love helping people – it feels good to help people achieve their dream of home ownership and/or save money on their mortgages. There are so many products and so many lenders, all of which are at a little different. Whether its a client with bad credit, a client who wants to reduce there debt, someone looking to build their own home, business for self, an income property, vacation home, or no down payment, I can help. I especially love saving people money when they need to renew their mortgages or consolidate debt. I can save people thousands and thousands of dollars!
